This is my blogging page. Blogging is sometimes referred to a weblog. Blogs are published on the internet, so students need to be aware of this and not to include extremely personal information about themselves. Teachers can use blogging in their classrooms. Students can record journal activities, science experiments, or just document different events or assignments. This is an example of my blog.
Blogging is a great way for parents to see what their children are learning about throughout the week. There are many different ways you can blog with students. For example: In a grade 5 English class, students can blog information about a novel. I would get the students to reflect on each chapter. Things that I would get them to reflect on would be: what they found interesting in the chapter, what the chapter was about, what they enjoyed or what they disliked. I think by allowing the students to blog on the internet instead of writing it down on paper, makes it more enjoyable. The students will attempt their work with greater enthusiasm because it will be published on the internet, and their classmates can read their responses as well as their families.
